I'm [[User:Michael|Michael Slattery]]. This is my personal database about people and stuff on the Internet. I add pages here occasionally, when I have time and energy, about things that interest me personally. This site is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_in_progress work in progress]. Pages that are linked to but not yet created appear as [[Red Links]]. All Categories are attached either directly or indirectly to [[:Category:Root]].

This website runs on [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki MediaWiki] software, which is the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki wiki] software used by Wikipedia. This might give the false impression that the website is a collaborative wiki. But in fact only registered users of this site can edit pages, and the only registered user at the moment is [[User:Michael|Michael Slattery]]. This site is thus a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_wiki personal wiki]. ([[Loic Lemeur]] recently [http://twitter.com/loic/status/67020275639779328 tweeted] that personal wikis seem like "totally a thing of the past.")
