Loïc Le Meur is a top French blogger, a serial entrepreneur, and organiser of the annual LeWeb3 conference in Paris. He currently lives in San Francisco. He created his first company, interactive agency B2L, on the HEC campus (which he left before obtaining his diploma). B2L was sold to advertising agency BBDO in 1999. He also founded RapidSite France, a web hosting company for small businesses in France, which was sold in 1999 to France Télécom where it became part of Wanadoo. In 2000, he founded application service provider Tekora, sold to French software company Access-Commerce in 2002 after burning up 6 million USD in 24 months. In 2003, he got involved with French weblog hosting company Ublog which he purchased from its founder. After merging French blogging company Ublog with software company Six Apart in 2004, Le Meur served as Chairman of SixApart Europe. His fifth startup is [[Seesmic]], originally community-driven social software for video sharing, now promoter of a desktop client for Twitter and Facebook. In 2006, Le Meur joined the RSS Advisory Board, the group responsible for the RSS 2.0 specification.
